We have selected the best Shooting talent in Australia to compete for Olympic quotas in every discipline and event. The outcomes from this Oceania Championships will play a significant role in shaping the size and composition of the Australian Shooting Team in Paris. Our athletes have been very focussed in their preparations and will be well-supported by Shooting Australia’s National Coaches and support staff, leading to strong performances in Brisbane at the end of the month.”

Whilst Shooting Australia’s primary focus is to secure as many Olympic quotas as possible (to add to the quota that has already been secured in Women’s Trap), Chief Executive Officer Adam Sachs says, “Significant additional competition opportunities, outside of those who will be competing for Olympic quotas, have also been created providing athletes with access to high-quality international competition here in Australia. As the host of this year’s Oceania Championships, Shooting Australia is grateful for the opportunity and is investing heavily in the event’s success. We have also worked closely with our Member Organisations and are extremely grateful for the support they are providing to the Australian Team members who are not eligible to compete for Olympic quotas. These athletes will continue to be important contributors to the success and sustainability of Shooting in the Oceania region, now and into the future, and may be part of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Team. I wish all of the Australian athletes the best of luck in their final weeks of preparation for the Championships”.

The pistol and rifle events will be held at the Brisbane International Shooting Centre and the shotgun events at the Brisbane Gun Club.

Shooting Australia extends its thanks to the large number of officials and volunteers who will be significantly contributing to the success of the 2023 Oceania Championships.

Event

Team A

Team
